For all the "Dramma Junkies" out there.

Well, well after a short visit home I'm back in Schnitzel Land. lucky me.

I had a nice time back home, got to see old friends, got to ignore old friends and got to drink lots of Starbucks products. I must admitt I missed you, my beloved reader, like Zombies miss the taste of brains or like monkeys miss their off springs when they are away (I watched a documentary about monkeys in the plane on my way back).

While at home I thought and realized many things, which I'll elaborte on later but right now I'd like to talk to you about something that struck me like when I found out Super Mario was originally called "Mr. Video" (yes, he was!).

Are, some of us, dramma junkies?!

Let me explain, my puzzled visitor, doesn't it happen to you that you want something so much, so bad, you long and you dream about that CERTAIN something? ... either it is a person, a job, a feeling, a movie or even a HAMBURGER, whatever you happen to be infatuated with, and then that disturbing creature called 'FATE' slaps you in the face by actually... LETTING YOU HAVE IT.

Oh my Gawd! you might say, and right now you don't find what it is wrong with that but, after all that time longing something apparently forbidden to you and then having it... it happens, and prepare for the PLOT TWIST, not to be enough.

So it isn't enough, so you get bored and start wondering what attracted you to it in the first place... my question here is: do we need continuous complications and problems to be happy and entertained?!? just what is it that its so fascinating about something we can't have???

If we were able to live the life of our dreams where our biggest concern would be figuring out where we left our car keys, would we create dramma for ourselves to make it worth it?

I just don't quite get the thrill of the 'ups & downs' but it's there, as real as monkeys enjoying morning grooming.

What is it with the dramma that sometimes it can only be described in one word... 'addictive' ?

  3. Actually, about Super Mario, I've read that too on that certain website, and it was pretty surprising since it's a nerdywise well known fact that he was originally named Jumpman (way better right?). Never ever read about Mr.Video anywhere else than the website you saw it on.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't change all of the basis of your post's thinking.

  4. I think drama (with one "m", except when you say "dramma mamma" = you) is really the spice of life, it would be so boring if you just got stuff and nothing happened, seriously, think about it, the best things in life are free, but they have a price, a karmic price I guess. I agree with Clé there, Mario was to be called Jumpman. On another issue, I'm glad you made it back in one piece and learned about monkeys in the process :) You're the best!
